Ren Fest Gathering

Not sure how many people are into this stuff, but I went last year and it was a lot of fun. Who wants to go as a group? If there's a decent response, we'll proceed to pick a day, but please, please, please, don't pick Feb 27/28.

I have a class in Sarasota on the 20th from 12 until 2:50. :X The next day would be fine, but I dunno if most people would want to be in tampa for 2 days in a single weekend.

I think we should go on a Saturday; kind of like with Qzar, where we get a group to meet up and hang out before the meeting.
That way, more people can come since they'd be in the area later that day anyway, and there aren't conflicts with classes if it's the weekend! (Save for some cases, like yours on the 20th. :/ But there are plenty of other weeks, so that's okay!)

How about trying to get a group together for March 6th?

i'm not sure about doing it on a meeting day simply because after being at the ren fair, you're dirty, filthy, and sweaty. everyone is going to want to go home and shower. (been there, done that). at the same time, i'd love to do it on a saturday. maybe spring break?

That's a very good point. When is spring break?

Edit: Looked it up. It's March 8th to the 13th. Going sometime during that week sounds like a great idea. So, from this point on, people should recommend a day within that time frame.

Yeah, if it's during spring break it doesn't matter what day, plus that would probably be a hell of a lot more convenient for everybody, and thinking back on it, that's when I went last year. Normally I'd be up for a saturday, but yeah, sweaty and crap, I'd definitely want to take a shower, and also I'm not available the 20th during the times it's open, or at all on the 27th.

EDIT: It's looking like we'll be meeting in front of Ren Fest's gate at Noon. So far, people that are definitely coming: Myself, Jim, Cat, Kelsey, Leafy. Lee said he might come, and Chelsea said she might. Roland hasn't responded yet, but I assume that his response is dependent on Chelsea's, because I don't think he's gotten a new car yet. Liza said she wants to, but it depends on whether her mother forces her to go home or not for that day. I believe I sent a text to Andrew as well, but he hasn't replied.
